52 linked: breakfast.

linked: breakfast

This, my friends, was his breakfast yesterday. Apples, pistachios and berry juice from Starbucks (and some random foreign coin, which was not for breakfast.) Breakfast is a struggle as of late (along with lunch and dinner.) He used to reliably eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Every single morning. Then dad turned him on to Fluffernutters (marshmallow fluff with peanut butter)  without the nutter. And that was the end of that. Now Max claims that he doesn't like PB & H sandwiches. So he eats whatever I can get him to eat these days. He claims his tummy is always telling him that it is hungry for candy or popsicles or ice cream.
I won't be winning the "mother of the year" award anytime soon...
And those apples were still in that bowl at dinner time. And he didn't eat a single one.
(Side note: This is a perfect example of thinking that things around my house are uninspiring and not worth photographing. I really don't like this photo. It's also a perfect example of me procrastinating and taking the photo the day before our Linked Friday. Next week I will not wait till the last minute to take my photo.)

And if you think your breakfast/photo are bad (which they aren't!), I suggest you take a peak at mine! haha!

Well, did you see the way I totally cheated on this? I had no idea how to photograph our breakfast-- the light in my house is terrible. I guess we win some and lose some... but that's OK cause we're still learning.

My 3 year old struggles with eating too - but he'll always eat a good breakfast (actually 2 of them) but the rest of the days eating is really no existent! I did my breakfast shots on last Saturday at 10am so the light was better :)

i'm a wait until the last minute kinda gal too.
must get better at that.

when i was little we use to tell our parents that our tummies had a healthy side and a dessert side. mysteriously the healthy side was always full and the dessert side was always ready for more ;)

p.s i love the random coin. love that you didn't take it away for this pic. love that it's real life!

I guess I was lucky to get good eaters.
At least you know in your gut that they won't let themselves starve.
I wait till the last minute with nearly everything I do. I keep hoping I' ll change. ;-)

Well personally I think the beauty of the project is it pushes up out of our comfort zone. I love photographing people. Objects are a total challenge for me. So we push ourselves each week. And like Jessica said, we win some and lose some. I still personally find your shot totally interesting because I'm nosey and it makes me feel better to see what other moms are dealing with. :)

I LOVE that we get to see a slice of everyone's life today. For this reason, I love this photo. :) My daughter tells me she is hungry for dessert, but not dinner. Hmmmm.....

I love this photo Andrea. Because it's real! And pistachios? My son would never touch those! I struggle too with Owen eating a variety. he eats the same things, every day. he eats an Eggo waffle every. single. morning. It's just a phase right?!

I have THE PICKIEST KIDS ON THE PLANET. I can totally relate.

I also love that you left the coin in the photo. Real life. Yes.

I just joined this project this week too. My interpretation is much, much different from everyone else's, but I'm learning!

Those IKEA bowls are used so much at my house! And my 4 year old is a picky eater too! He's a grazer.

You know what I love about this post? It's real life stuff and honestly that coin in the photo is icing on the cake---great job capturing breakfast!
