weather.

There's been a lot on the news lately about the big storm blowing across most of the US.
Snow, blizzard, freezing temps, wind chills. Trapped motorist on roads, closed down businesses and schools. (It all sounds a bit like what happens in our neck of the woods when we get more than 2 inches of snow.)
It has left me wondering if the rest of the country is getting the "worst winter in 50 years" they had predicted for us here in the great Pacific Northwest.
I won't lie. I'm a little disappointed they made these promises (ok, not promises, but great predicitions) about how we'd get dumped on with snow. But then I hear the news reports about the rest of the nation and I think, Yea, I'll take my rain, grey skies and on the rare occaision -
Sun! Glorious SUN! (It should be noted that sunshine around here usually comes with a hefty dose of east winds that usher in some colder temps - and by cold I mean in the mid 30s. I know, I know, balmy compared to some parts of the nation.)
But I'll take my sun. And blue skies. And wind. And cold.
