52 linked: spring

winter vs spring
When I first started my draft of this post it was Wednesday morning and it was snowing. And yesterday we woke-up to about three inches of snow. It's nearing the end of March, friends. It's spring. Well, it's supposed to be spring. Spring in the PNW is hit or miss. We get a few good, sunny, warm days among the cloudy, rainy, grey days. We have had snow one day a week for the past four weeks now. It's not much, and it usually turns to rain by about noon, but still...

Spring is "springing" even among the rain and snow and cold. She's making her presence known. And I'm really happy about that. I have to say that spring has moved up the ranks in my list of favorite seasons. After months of rain and wind and cold and dark, dreary days, I welcome the little green buds and flowers and sunshine and a little bit of warmth with open arms

the 700 and my 70s, but I sure can. ;) }

Ooooh, that last one is just gorgeous!
I haven't seen any signs of spring poking through our snow just yet. Your photos make me excited to starting seeing them :)

I love the peek of purple coming from the snow! And I think I can tell a difference...not sure. But I know what it's like to see the difference myself. Inspires you to go out and use your camera more! Have fun with your new gift! And have a great weekend!

I love the contrast between the bugs of spring and the snow of winter. That is perfectly PNW. And I can totally see a difference with the new camera. BEAUTIFUL!!

They are beautiful ( What is the difference that you see )
I love the spring snow, it seems to have all the wonderful nutrients needed for beautiful grass and plants.
I'm just waiting for snow to hit us one more time (MN)

I love the color peeking through that bright, white snow. Beautiful.

And what do we do in the summertime? Spend a lot of it indoors unfortunately! It really is unbearable. The kids go outside either before 10am or after 7pm. Luckily we have 2 neighbors with pools that invite the kids over all the time to swim, so it makes it more bearable. Plus I get the house to myself!

Love those beautiful purple buds pushing their way through the snow. It's like we're all trying to just get through the winter and make it to sunny days, flowers included. :)

I think it's crazy you are getting all this snow and we have hardly gotten ANY! But it sure does make for pretty photos! :)

Have fun playing with your new camera!

SQUEAL!!! Do you have a new header (or am I just really non observant - LOL!) I LOVE THAT SHOT of your sweet boy - wow! Gorgeous.

Love your Spring pics too! The little pop of color under the white snow is gorgeous. Love the red and white especially! I hope we're done with snow for the year, but in NE you never know. It only snowed once this year! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend. xo

I love these, but the last one is my favorite. The depth of field is awesome! I've always thought living in the PNW would be so great because I love gray days when you don't even have to wear sunglasses. But - we don't have many of them. So maybe I'd get tired of them? Probably. But I know I get tired of 100 degree days! Trade offs I guess....
