tuesday: i'm thinking...

the mill
I wish I had had my "big girl" camera with me yesterday when I took these shots with my Droid.
(And that the power line wasn't in the photo...)

Time to share my favorite photography quote with you: "The best camera is the one that's with you." Chase Jarvis.

Plus, using phone cameras forces us to work on our composition because we don't have aperture and shutter speed to play with. I adore this picture.

But I also know the frustration of not having the big girl camera to hand. I'm trying to figure out how to carry my monster camera, calendar, bible study & knitting stuff at all times. I think I need a sherpa. ;)

Still an awesome shot! I love it! I love that quote Michelle shared. Thank goodness you had the phone handy.:))

What an interesting picture any way.

I think it's great just as it is. I love the soft orange and pink colors with the black contrast.

I agree with Michelle! And I love this photo, and the power line, bc it's the real deal, from where you stood, this is what you saw. Those threads of smoke are just very very cool. I would have stopped to capture this too!

i know you will think i'm wierd, but i love the power line in this! it's why i have a button in my side bar of my blog for a gallery of images that have power lines... "fascinated by power lines" i love them! in photos, that is.

oh, i just read some of the other comments, and i see they love 'em too! see? so keep 'em, i say! totally cool shot!

Yay, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who takes pictures of power plants letting off steam! Great capture.

Michelle, I love Chase Jarvis! Unfortunately, I don't have a very smart phone - I probably would got the first shot of the power plant that I saw instead of having to wait for a couple months, seeing it, running back home and grabbing my camera (and I didn't like the power lines in my image either, lol)!
I'm thinking I should update my flickr account...
